To make vanilla ice-cream pie with Oreo crust, you need Oreo crust and vanilla ice-cream. You can make Oreo crust and vanilla ice-cream beforehand and store it in the chest freezer UK for best results. And then you can make ice-cream pie with Oreo crust in just 5 minutes.

Here are the 3 steps to follow:

Step 1: Making Oreo Crust

Ingredients needed to make Oreo crust are a package of Oreos and a stick of butter.


Take a stick of butter and cut it into smaller pieces, so it melts easily and faster. Then take a pan and put pieces of butter in it and heat it. When the butter got melt, put it aside. Then take 26 Oreos, put them in a bowl and mash them up. Or you can use a food processor for this purpose.

You can also put the cookies in a Ziplock bag and crumble them up with a hammer. If you get an Oreo pie crust, you won’t have to do this. You can simply skip this step and just use Oreos to make the pie filling and top the pie. When Oreos are mashed up properly, add melted butter into the bowl and mix it.

When you feel that your pie crust is ready, take a big handful and press it into a clump. If it stays, it’s ready to be used. Take a pie dish and spray it with non-stick butter, so, your pie crust doesn’t stick. Then transfer the Oreo and butter mixture into a pie dish and press it down with your hands.

If you don’t like it to do with your hands, you can use the bottom of a cup. It will make your work easier. When your pie crust is done put it in the freezer for 20 minutes.

Step 2: Vanilla Ice-cream

To make vanilla ice-cream, you need 8 egg yolks, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/2 cup whole milk, and 2.5 cups heavy cream. You will also need a pinch of fine sea salt, 1 vanilla bean, and 2 teaspoon vanilla extract.


Add half of the sugar in a bowl containing egg yolks and whisk them together. Then take a saucepan and add the milk, heavy cream, remainder of the sugar, and a pinch of sea salt. Then split the vanilla bean in half with a knife to extract the vanilla. Put the vanilla seeds into the same pot. And heat the mixture over a medium-low flame just to the point where it barely starts to boil.

When the mixture comes to boil, turn off the heat and add two teaspoons of vanilla extract. Then temper your egg yolks with the cream. Then add all the eggs to the cream whisking the entire time of course. Then place the pot back on top of a medium-low flame and cook for 10 minutes. Then chill the mixture and add it to the ice-cream maker.

Step 3: Making the Pie

In the last step, we are going to load up our pie crust with vanilla ice-cream. Then smash it down with your hands. After you are done, put it in the freezer for half an hour. Then put whipped cream and cover the ice-cream layer. Put the pie back into the freezer for a couple of hours before serving.
